  • Britney heats up the X factor

with her live performance of 'Womanizer'. Now I ike this track... but I liked the stuff from the 'Blackout' album- I may be the only person who owns a copy

Maybe I'll get the circus album... to go with my Erasure Circus album and the new take that album called... er... the circus.

  • David Van Birthday

I am just watching I'm a celebrity and David Van Day is a real pratt! But still it was kind of him not to go on about his birthday. But the bitching between him and Nicola has been very entertaining!!!!

The Mallet is also very irritating. And I'm not keen on the Swash. And I think Simon has been a bit dull too.

I must admit I have voted tonight. I voted to Save..... Brian. I quite like him and her reminds me of someone I miss!

  • Bonekickers Axed!

Yes! The public have spoken. The shaky plots, the awful acting and the dire script all contributed towards the decision by the BBC to never EVER make any Bonekickers ever again! Bye Bye Dolly!!

    Full story:

BBC1 has axed its archaeology drama Bonekickers after just one series following a critical mauling and declining ratings.

The drama, about a team of West Country archaeologists who uncover historical mysteries, launched with 6.8 million viewers in July but had slumped to 4.3 million by the end of its six episodes in August.

Bonekickers also polarised opinion, receiving a mauling from most critics but also pulling in a loyal band of fans.

The Guardian's TV reviewer Gareth McLean branded it "mind-boggingly dreadful", while James Walton in the Daily Telegraph said it was all a "bit daft". However, Andrew Billen in the Times described it as "watchable bunk".

Bonekickers, which starred Adrian Lester, Julie Graham and Hugh Bonneville, was originally commissioned by the former BBC1 controller Peter Fincham before he moved to ITV.

His replacement, Jay Hunt, was not as keen on the drama and has now pulled the plug.

At the MediaGuardian Edinburgh International Television festival at the end of August, Hunt admitted that the series was "slightly flawed in bits of the execution".

A BBC spokesman said today: "Ashley Pharoah and Matthew Graham have decided to concentrate on new projects and not write a second series of Bonekickers. We look forward to working with them in the future."

The axing of the drama comes after ITV last week confirmed that its medical drama Harley Street, which also received a hostile reaction from critics and suffered tumbling ratings, would not return.

  • Breaking Strictly news!

    John Sergeant has quit!

Go here for the full story

    He said:

"The trouble is that there is now a real danger that I might win the competition. Even for me that would be a joke too far."

    So, what do you think?

Much as I agree John provided entertainment, I do think he'd gone on long enough. Losing such a good dancer as Cherie last weekend certainly put the situation into perspective and I think he had little choice.

    Shame though.

EDIT - Special hour-long edition of 'It takes Two' starting on BBC2 NOW!!!

  • Silk is not so silky

This is a quick post after watching last nights IACGMOOH.
Robert Kilroy Silk is a prick! Sorry, but I don't like him. I know that Sucker is a wag, but she didn't deserve that treatment! I thought she did well in that hanging up trial. I would have hated being hoisted in that clear box so high up.

Joe Swash is also irritating but more in a puppy with a limp way.

And, I know this might be a bit controversial.... but I hope Brian does well, and comes across well. I like him at the moment. And having hims with Martina and Sulu is great HAHA

  • I'm a celebrity... Get me out of here!

Starts again tonight.... And these are who are in the jungle
    cele1cele2

SO what do we think? Is there a winner there?

  • Apparitions

Did anyone see this new BBC drama? It starred Martin Shaw as a church exorcist. I was keen to watch is as I like the 'supernatural' type shows (like Afterlife and Sea of Souls) but I was unsure about this. I enjoyed the 'demonic' element of the story, but I am not sure I rate Martin Shaw as an actor. Plus I wasn't keen on the 'can't be gay' vibe I got from it- s the new priest was a struggling homosexual and the devil used it against him- like it was something wrong....

    What did you all think?

  • Strictly fantastic

I thought this routine was absolutely fantastic on last nights Strictly Come Dancing

Am I the only one that things he would make a good next doctor who?

  • Little Dorritt

I must admit I am enjoying this period piece. Matthew Macfadyen is good (as he was as D'arcy) and it funny watching all the Doctor Who/ Torchwood actors hamming it up- specially our Gwen Cooper.
I haven't read the book (never got into Dickens) so I am not sure where the story is leading- but I did assume Dorritt was going to be the daughter of Arthur (is that his name?)

  • Whodunnit

So, whilst Eastenders Max lies in the Hospital after being knocked down by a 'mysterious' driver, the viewers are left with a whodunnit. Although I expect it will be Bradley on some drunken spree which he can't now remember, I have my own theory...
I think it will be Patrick Truman, and his intended victim was Pat, to try and silence her from telling Bianca about their kinky love-play. Did you see that gear? Too much information!!!!!
