Gethin Jones swaps his sequins and sticky tape for tornadoes, volcanoes and big waves as he risks life and limb for a his new series on Virgin1.
Stepping into the unseen world of obsessive enthusiasts, Gethin fearlessly chases the most treacherous and extreme natural phenomena in the world. While ordinary members of the public are evacuating, he'll be running head first into the danger zone right there alongside them.
Filming recently finished saw Gethin travel across the world to locations as far afield as Hawaii, New Zealand, Indonesia, Nebraska and South Africa.
Before he left the comfort of home, Gethin had this to say…
“I’m thrilled to be part of such an exciting show. I’ve heard rumours of 18,000m high tornadoes, deadly waves of up to 80ft, death-defying lightning storms, volcanoes and avalanches that exceed speeds of 300km per hour. I am ridiculously excited, a little bit scared but raring to go – I can’t wait.”

I am going to post this here because it was on TV....
But I have just witnessed the worst piece of Saturday rubbish EVER! What the F was that Hole in the Wall rubbish supposed to be about??? It's a cross between the pool event from the kids show 'We are the Champions' and that silly little plastic game you had when you were 2 where you had to fit the yellow shapes into the plastic ball (Admit it, we all had one)
And a lot of camp nonsense it was. Hosted by Dale 'Oooh can I have a camp show involving celebrities fitting into my hole' Winton. With Anton 'I will be on more TV than John Barrowman' Du Beck and Andi 'Did someone open an envelope' Peters.
The plot.... celebrities have to avoid a wall heading towards them by making the shape of the hole in it. An Okay idea for a generation game single game, but hardly diverse enough to build a whole show on. Was I the only one hoping that the mega wall would involve some kind of impaling device??? Instead the mega wall- the grand finale of the show- was in fact another wall with a hole in it but approaching slightly faster!!!!!!!!!! Wooooooh! Not exactly gladiators.
What A-hole though this up????
